For car rental purposes, you may wish to collect a hire car once you arrive at Kangaroo Island. Although there is a ferry accommodating vehicles, most car hire contracts will not insure the vehicle whilst on the ferry. It is best to check the terms and conditions of your rental car so you fully understand what you may be liable for when taking a car rental onto Kangaroo Island and also if you are collecting a hire car from the Island Depot. Rental cars are limited and it is advisable to book your car hire well in advance.
