Sydney is possibly the tourist capital of Australia and many thousands of visitors give their tick of approval each year.  We will list just a few attractions in this truly exciting city.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge was opened in 1932 and is a favorite with the more adventurous. Tourists can book to climb the bridge at the highest point. The arch is 134 metres above sea level and the view from the top is impossible to describe, it must be experienced. 

 The Rocks is one of Sydney's best examples of historic buildings. Most have been revamped into restaurants, art galleries and shops.

The Sydney Opea House is possibly Sydney's best-known landmark and International symbol.

Taronga Park Zoo is a must for the children.

The Sydney Fish Markets is a great place for very reasonably priced fresh seafood.  You will have to contend with the seagulls, but this is Sydney's commercial fishing hot spot and you can spend hours watching the activities. 

The Chinese have a large community in Sydney, mainly Cantonese speakers from southern China who arrived in the 1850's looking for Gold. Chinatown on the southern fringe of the city between George Street and Darling Harbour has fabulous restaurants, shops and Asian supermarkets.
