Where am I permitted to travel in my Rental Cars from Webbcarr.com?

As you book your car hire you should consider if the rental car operator has any restrictions on where you can travel. No use having a hire car you can not take where you want to go.  On the Webbcarr Car Rentals website there is information regarding any restrictions to travel in the rental information section for each Car Rental agent. 

 

How many kilometers can I travel in my Webbcarr.com Hire Car?

This will depend on the operator you have chosen to supply your rental car. In most cases they will advertise this information next to the rental car picture or at the completion of the quotation/booking process.

 

How do I pay for Rental Cars?

Payment for the car hire is made in full on arrival, or can be pre-charged by agreement.  A Credit Card number is required to secure a vehicle. A benefit of choosing a national car rental company is there is no deposit required . This information is set out in the Car Rental information section.

How do I collect my rental cars?

Having opted for a national company your rent-a-car will be on site at the airport ready to go.

 

Is the Rental Car insured?

All rental cars are comprehensively insured. As with private car rental insurance an excess applies in the unfortunate instance where there is damage caused to the vehicle.  There is a range of excess reduction packages available on the website and are clearly outlined on the options page.  Standard CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) options do not apply to single vehicle accidents.

 

What happens if the rental car breaks down?

Although the vehicles are well maintained and serviced, your peace of mind comes from knowing that we offer Free 24 hour roadside mechanical breakdown assistance with RACQ etc.  RACQ call-outs for human error related problems, such as keys locked in the car, assistance with a flat tyre, run out of fuel or left the lights on etc, attracts a service fee, plus an additional cost relating to the call out.  No rental cars are to be towed without the permission of the agent supplying the vehicle. Car Hire Cancellations

Another benefit of choosing a national company is they do not charge for cancellation if notice is given more than 24hours out.

 

How old do I need to be to rent-a-car?

The rates apply to drivers between the ages of 25 – 75 yrs in most cases. For drivers under this age but over 21 years of age, you may still rent a car however a compulsory surcharge will be applied and excess amounts are different from over 25year old drivers.  These are displayed in the “Optional Extra’s” fields during the online booking procedure and must be selected. Drivers Licence

All drivers must hold a valid driver’s licence (i.e. not provisional or learners). A current acceptable Australian or International licence (in English) is required from all drivers.

 

Rental Duration

Minimum charge is for 24hours from the time of pick up.  A car rental day is a 24hour period which starts at the time of collection, however can also apply to a rental period that is of several hours duration

 

One Way Hires

Depending on travel destination and length of hire, one way car rentals may be available. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly office staff

 

Street Directories, GPS Systems and Maps

In most cases street directories and maps will be provided in the vehicle. Satellite Navigation units are also available in the optional extra page.

 

Baby and Booster Seats

Forward and rear-facing Baby seats plus Child Booster Seats are available for hire. Please advise age of child where ever possible.

 

Pets

In most cases pets are not permitted in rental cars. Please check with reservation staff.

 

Speeding Fines

The agents supplying the hire car will either charge your credit card for the amount detailed on the fine, or, supply your information to law enforcement agencies, who will in turn issue a fine to your postal address.

It is advisable that you pay any fines you receive before leaving the country. Failure to pay fines received in Australia may result in refusal of car hire in the future.

 

Fuel

All hirers are responsible for their own fuel costs. Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. Should the vehicle be returned short of fuel it will be re-fuelled at client’s expense.

 

Cleaning and Smoking in Rental Cars

Agents take pride in supplying customers with well cleaned and Smoke Free Rental Cars. All hire cars are to be return in a similar clean state. Smoking is not permitted in any vehicle. Extra Cleaning / Sanitation Fees will apply when a vehicle is returned in a dirty condition or any evidence of smoking within the vehicle is found.

Do I need to leave a bond for Car Hire?

In most cases a security bond equal to the hirers chosen excess liability is per-authorised on the nominated Credit card on arrival. Please refer to the Car Rental information on each supplier.

 

Additional Drivers

Additional drivers may be added to your car rental agreement providing they meet the requirements. This may incur a fee – refer to the optional extras page in the booking process.
